Founded by a prayer movement in Akron and the surrounding towns, the blessing of God led to the salvation of many people and the eventual founding of Chapel Hill Church.

Founded on faithfulness to God's word and fervency in prayer, Chapel Hill Church has a legacy of missions and evangelism that goes back to the 1800s and carries on through present day.  The foundation of Chapel Hill Church has never changed.  We look expectantly to a future of evangelism and missions in Cuyahoga Falls and the world!

Tim Husk
Director of Ministry Development

I was born and raised in Akron, Ohio, but I wanted to be a missionary to other countries from as young as I can remember. I attended Moody Bible Institute in Chicago. They prepared me well and my church sent me out to Papua New Guinea with Wycliffe Bible Translators. My wife and I spent about 30 years there and raised our four kids in PNG. They are all grown and we now have 5 grandchildren to enjoy. I also enjoy water sports, archery and motorcycles, but I am most passionate about people hearing and understanding God’s communication to them in their own language.

Laticia Tarr

When Laticia is not working she enjoys spending time with her Husband and two children. Her hobbies include hiking and woodworking, and she loves volunteering at CHC in various children’s ministries.

Jamie Mihalik
Administrative Assistant

Jamie Mihalik has been a part of Chapel Hill Church for her entire life. She is a third generation CHC member and can’t imagine CHC not being a part of her life. She and her husband Ben have two boys, Elijah (2) and Levi (6 months). Jamie graduated from Geneva College with a degree in Early Childhood Education. She taught full time for three years at Chapel Hill Christian School North, and started working at Chapel Hill Church when her first son was born in 2016. Jamie loves spending time with her family, exercising, and being outside.

Simple. Biblical. Christianity.

At Chapel Hill, we don't believe in unnecessarily complicating things.  We believe what God says about Himself in the Bible.  As a part of the Christian and Missionary Alliance, we reflect the historical beliefs and values that Scripture has always taught.  If you aren't familiar with the Christian and Missionary Alliance, it was formed in the 1800s to support missions all over the world.  Like the rest of the Alliance family, we have a high place a high value on the Great Commission to make disciples.  For a detailed statement of faith, you can read our statement of faith here.
