Chapel Hill Church is a member congregation of the Christian and Missionary Alliance. Founded by Rev. Albert Benjamin Simpson in 1887, the C&MA always has been known for its distinctive, scripturally grounded views. With churches in every state, the denomination totals about 429,000 believers in 2,004 congregations. With emphasis on establishing churches among unreached people groups and responsive populations worldwide, the C&MA is involved also in many types of specialized missions such as communications, medical work, translation, and relief and development aid.
The Great Commission Fund
Unlike many other organizations, The Christian and Missionary Alliance does not require its missionaries to raise their own support. Instead, missionaries and their ministries are financed through what we call The Great Commission Fund (GCF). C&MA church members and friends give to this fund regularly.
